The blessing of a little one

I was recently able to attend one of the loveliest baby showers for a sweet friend. The setting: chic, rustic cabin on Norris Lake. The goal: bless the mom, enjoy the company and craft a bird themed mobile. (I will have to post a finished picture of the nursery with the mobile later.) During the afternoon Liz and I slipped away for a quick maternity photo shoot. Here are a few moments from the day.

Liz was practicing at the shower. :-)

The Blessing Way

One of the many beautiful hand-made baby gifts. This little girl will be warm through the winter.

David Michael White

The longest and sweetest little boy bounced into this world in August. I got to meet him a couple of weeks ago and share some moments with him and his very proud parents. I love moments like these with little ones. There is no scripting of what you might take away from the time spent with them and even better you capture them just as they are. That may mean in tears or in peace. This little boy shared equal amounts of tears and peace. His sweet momma was close for David's comfort.

I present, David Michael White. The longest child I have ever seen.

Just so you all know we do have some images in color. I just loved the black and white.

Grand Cayman Botanical Park

My first post of the summer is not from the comforts of Tennessee and our quaint neighborhood but from the shores of an island. A summer internship for the hubs brought us to Grand Cayman. I am so thankful for the ability to join him. On the weekends we get to see the sights and enjoy the sand and sun.

This is a viewing of our finds at one of the most incredible parks I have ever seen. Being hot is not something I enjoy. You can imagine how well the humid oceanic climate and I are getting along. However, when beauty like this is in my presence I am able to cope a lot easier.

Welcome to the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. If you ever make it to Grand Cayman, this is a stop you MUST make.

Laurel's First Easter

No words. She is so fun. So many emotions between this child and her egg.
