One of my dearest college friends tied the knot last month and I was blessed with the honor of standing along side her the day of the I do's. Before my duties began I caught of few moments of Natalie preparing for one of the most exciting days of her life. She is quite a timeless beauty.

Puppies and Babies

Miss Laurel is a repeat blogging subject. Can you blame me?

In her most recent post she is discovering a dog we know and love, Penny the Pug. She and Penny got along splendidly. Laurel took a nap, Penny took a nap. Laurel lay on her blanket, Penny lay on her blanket too. Laurel sat on the couch, Penny sat on the couch. You would have thought they had known each other from birth. (Laurel's anyway, Penny came first.)

I couldn't resist the urge to pick up my camera and document a few moments they spent at our house together some days ago.

Fall Family Photos

A new full-time job has obviously pulled me away from blogging. I know I say I will get better at this every time I post...I am a work in progress I suppose.

At my new full-time job I have met one of the loveliest ladies I have ever known and she, along with her family, entrusted their 2011 family photo shoot to yours truly. I even took my husband along on this one; a real family affair.

We spent a few hours walking all over the family farm finding some great locations for some pretty memorable moments. This is what I took away with me at the end of the day. I am thankful to the whole family for my first official gig in East Tennessee! What a blast!

For blogging purposes I was feeling black and white.

Ever had a little boy that was not willing to have his picture made? Just find a horsey swing and you will be just fine. 

Baptism

Meet Liam. A mild-tempered little boy who does not like to get wet. His parents Valerie and Chris had me join them and their family to document this wee one's baptism. What sweet moments I was invited to capture.

Laurel Linnea Sharp

Some great friends of mine, great friends I am happy to call neighbors, recently had a sweet baby girl! The 8 lbs Laurel was the perfect reward for a not so patient waiting game. She is just under two weeks old in these photos. Someone was a bit moody for her photo shoot so we got a few and hope to get more with the whole family soon. Here she is...Miss Laurel Linnea Sharp!

I think Laurel was a bit tired of being moved about. Her new friend Jackson...well he is just tired of listening to her.

Revisiting the Past

During recent job searching work from previous days has surfaced as the need for writing and photography samples arise. In light of the happenings I though it would be fun to share some of my most recent favorites. These are all from my work at VIP Williamson County magazine. I hope you enjoy this bit of history. Quite possibly one of the hottest shoots I have ever done...aside from the botanical garden photo below...airport hangers hold an astounding amount of heat in case you were wondering. (This is VIP Murfressboro)

This is the one and only shoot I did at VIP that had an animal involved. Go big or go home you know? She was well-behaved.
